Droughts have led to terrible cocoa harvests in west Africa, an area that produces 80% of the world’s cocoa. This means there is a global shortage of cocoa, and the cost of it has gone through the roof. To put it into perspective, a 4kg bag of cocoa butter has increased from £53 to £245.
Unfortunately, it is no longer feasible for us to maintain the current pricing, so as of 1st August our prices will increase to £7.50 per bar, or 3 for £21.
